Although Vivek had started his professional journey just after his graduation, because he was always keen to excel his knowledge, he went to Thunderbird Graduate School of Management and earned his MBA degree from there. Following his masters, he joined Ernst & Young in New York in 2003 which was a big opportunity of his career. He was associated with their Financial Services Advisory group and did hard work. He was also in charge of multiple projects related to cash management, treasury, and financial risk management.
Soon, he developed his reputation as a leader and strategic thinker while working with top financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies. During his last two years in New York, Vivek used his knowledge to help private clients by consulting them which made his impact in the financial field even bigger.
Vivek is the co-founder of Terra Firma Commodities DMCC in Dubai, UAE. He co-founded the company in 2014 with his partner Amol Awasthi and has shown his leadership skill to run business smartly. During his period so far, he has led towards huge growth by focusing on the trade and sale of rice and other agricultural goods in West Africa. Under his direction, Terra Firma Commodities has grown its product line to include sugar, pasta, raw cashew nuts, and frozen foods, and by the end of 2021, the company made a turnover of USD 90 million. With his focus on ecology and food security, he showed his progressive vision about business.
Vivek is also known as a health and fitness expert. He earned this expertise during his time in India, when he spent six years in India from 2010 to 2016 and established and ran five health and wellness clubs along with a successful business selling gym equipment. His businesses quickly rose to the top of their fields and became famous for maintaining its quality and customer satisfaction. In addition to running his own businesses, Vivek was in charge of a family seed fund that invested in new technology companies and helped innovative Indian businesses grow.
Vivek always focuses on education & learning as he knows his successful journey is based on his strong education background. He earned his graduation degree in engineering from the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra in 1997 through which he enhanced his technical skills that he needed for his early job. Just after his graduation, he received an offer to join Toshiba. He grabbed the opportunity and started working at Toshiba's TV picture tube factory in New Delhi. During his period at Toshiba, he learnt a lot about the manufacturing business that helped him get better at solving problems.
Vivek went to the US in 2001 to get an MBA in International Finance because he wanted to see more of the world. His time at Thunderbird Graduate School of Management was very important because it taught him a lot about global business and helped him think more strategically.
